PostcardsFromVolcanoes

The new series of adventures for Tanno and Iguda take them all around the world on a mission from Dr Volcano. They find out all about volcanoes, eruptions, and the countries where we find volcanoes.

PostcardsFromVolcanoes

Tanno and Iguda find out about how Pompeii was destroyed by Vesuvius, the incredible climate-changing eruption of Pinatubo in the Philippines, and even travel to Mars to see the tallest volcano in the solar system.

Dr Volcano is the alterego of volcano scientist Dr Dougal Jerram. Dr V sends Tanno and Iguda on their expedition to find out all sorts of information about volcanoes.

Dougal is the author of PostcardsFromVolcanoes, and is pictured here at his favourite volcano, Stromboli in Italy.

As with all the PostcardsFrom- series, you can sign up for your child to receive the 12 PostcardsFromVolcanoes weekly in the mail, so they arrive through your letterbox, personalised from Tanno and Iguda.

Earth’s volcanic Ring of Fire

For seven of these cards, Tanno and Iguda include a full circle of what volcanologists have called the Ring of Fire. It’s a circle of volcanic regions that goes all around the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Can you identify the countries on the map where each volcano is that they visit?
